The Game

I wish I hadnt watched this movie. I would love to have the experience of watching this movie for the first time once over. The reviews you can see on IMDB. What I would tell you is a viewer's experience.

'Whereas once I was blind, now I can see.'-John 9:25 This is the central theme of the movie. And I can assure you after you have watched this movie, you will have the same realization too. Life is too short. There is no time for being self-conceited. Yet most of us (atleast me) are imprisoned in this dingy cellar. Its time to open our eyes up.

The movie is an experience. You would be on the edge of your seat the whole time. It keeps you engrossed and you feel part of the movie. This I say for most movies reviewed here. But this time I really mean it. I wouldnt waste your time, go and watch The Game. What did you say? You have important work? haha after you have watched this movie yu wouldnt say so. Best of Luck

The Ring

Its long since I last wrote anything on this blog or infact anywhere. And here I return with a movie is totally different genre. However despite being in the horror genre it doesnt scare you throughout with scary faces. The visual effects are too appealing. Infact the whole mood of the film is set because of the excellent use of visuals and sounds. Acting too is superb, even from the child actor. Most of you probably have seen it. If you havent see it. I would not very scary but more of a mystery. There are plenty of questions that I couldnt answer, maybe some of you can help.

1. Why does the body of the girl(Samara) appear under Shelter mountain inn though she was pushed into the well in Moscoe Island?

2. Why does Mr. Morgan kill himself?

3. Why were the images of those who viewing the video twisted?

4. Why was Samara killed at all? And why was she kept in the barn?

5. Why is this continuing? And what does that video mean?

Now fun questions?

What if someone is not near a TV on the 7th day? :P And they say it will never end. Here is method. After the all the known viewers of the video have copied the tape once and their stipulated 7 days is over, they can simply burn allt he existing tapes. Done, End of story. Enjoy

Twelve Monkeys

Terry Gilliam's Brazil is one of my all time favorite movies. He shows his class once again in Twelve Monkeys. A perfect Sci-fi suspense thriller based on the famous 'La Jetee' (reviews comings). It was difficult to guess everything till the very end.

Brad Pitt and Bruce Wills put in an amazing performance. The actress too puts in a brilliant performance. Watch this movie. You cant miss it. Trust me you will be glued to your seats.

Charade

I checked the name of the director at the end to see if it wasnt some remnant of Hitchcock...I couldnt guess it till the end...The suspence is superb...but the strong point for the movie is its presentation....totally ingenuous....

This movie figures an aged Cary and aging Audrey( she still charms :)) yet it mesmerizes..the romantic Paris and the camera movements....the angles are mastercrafts...

and yes the script....there are scores of quotable lines in this movie..it begins with something like this

Cary met her
Audrey :I already know an awful lot of people and until one of them dies I couldn't possibly meet anyone else.
Cary: Well, if anyone goes on the critical list, let me know!!!!!!!

Dont waste time reading this silly blog..go and watch this movie..

PS: There is a music in this film which seems to have inspired the background score in the Hindi movie 'Gumnam'

Minority Report

Normally I sport flaws in movies.....I crib about them...this movie has flaws in galore.....But leave everything aside, I think this is a decent movie....atleast a decent crime thriller based on sci-fi.

The Washington DC portrayed in this movie is awesome. There are magnetic roads and sprawls. There are just 12 merry go rounds, the cars look fantastic. The best part is the virtual reality with CD like stuff containing information....Some scenes reminded me of Gilliam's Brazil..

Whatever be the details, the plot is wonderful....though the twist is a bit cliche....Nevertheless, you are kept engrossed....

Dont think too much scientifically and dont find flaws...you will enjoy the movie...Spielberg is always motivated by Kubrick..but they ar levels apart..

Green for Danger (English)

Its a wonderful mystery story set in the time of the 2nd World war. Dont worry it is not a war movie...Its more of a comedy...

I wont say it was delightful but yes was good to watch with remarkable performances....couldnt figure out the killer, so am a bit disappointed...a mystery story must not be written on...see it in ur free time..will be worth a watch.....
